Just make sure to go over the ROI very very well. My experience is that it is often not as worthwhile as it may sound (not talking about either of those specifically but rather in general). One important pitfall is that most of these places calculate for energy prices rising at a certain percent each year. The opposite has happened and prices have dropped by 40% over the last 7 years. Some solar contracts have you purchasing the generation at a rising price over the contract term. This can cause you to pay more for the solar than the price of electricity (I have actually seen this). There are other potential pitfalls as well.
+1 I looked into it about 7 years ago, and concluded that it was not kedai.

Power Lutions is great they do all over the tri-state 732-987-3939
+1  was very happy with them
I used powerlutions around 5 years ago. I leased the solar rather than buying outright. The install was free including the tree trimming. I pay 7.1c per kwh fixed for all energy generated by the system. No delivery charge for the electric so itís around half price. All in all Iím saving around $800 a year with zero hassle...
i got 6.8 per kw

Has to do with roof configuration and SREC prices so YMMV

No one here purchased them? Supposedly they are big tax one-time benefits if you purchase?

- Solar panels can void your roof warranty

- SREC price can drop, so don't factor it in when calculating your savings (IIRC 10 years ago it was $600. Now it's ~$200)

Precisely why I decided against it.

You only get SREC for 10 years now instead of 15.

Thatís why it makes sense to lease for a fixed rate. You are locking it in so there is no possibility of downside risk price wise no matter what the market does- unless you think electricity prices + deliverywill somehow go down over 50% in the future...

And greatly reduce the life span

Actually I was told that properly installed solar panels can prolong the life of the roof by shielding it from the sun and elements. Makes sense but I never verified that info. From what I can remember Powerlutions did have a professional roofer do the install...,
