Many developments have a Friday night mikvah. They should consider opening them up all week long.

The logistics often make it undoable and the costs would be astronomicla.

logistics can be worked out. Many developments have 5 or 6 x the amount of families out of town communities have and every of those communities has at least one mikvah. Keep in mind these mikvaos already exist. Its a matter of improving them for nightly use. How much would it cost to upgrade the mikvah? $200,000? If there are 200 families in the development you demand $1000 per family. It can be paid out over 2 years.  Regarding paying a mikvah attendant, you obviously have to raise the cost of tevila to cover that and maintenance. Maybe $30 per tevila

The biggest issue is privacy, most of the development mikvahs are located in the shul.

out of town cities dont have shuls that are nearly as busy as lakewood shuls. and if they are as busy they generally have the mikva in a completely separate area which is not possible in a lakewood development

I give up. I guess just stick with qam appointments.
It can be done in a tznius manner with an entrance on the opposite side of the building. It might also help if people weren't so yentish

There is so much more to it. These Fri night mikvaos don't have any baths etc. and don't even have room for them. The entrance can be right off of a hallway which will be full of men on a regular weeknight. Even if they were renovated they would only be able to handle a handful each night and would not really alleviate the problem.

There are boatloads of money in this town. If everyone of the dozens of gevirim with custom saltwater pools would donate 40 seah we have a Mikva on every block.

The entrance can be right off of a hallway which will be full of men on a regular weeknight. Even if they were renovated they would only be able to handle a handful each night and would not really alleviate the problem.

I do not dispute this at all. I am only responding to the suggestion that existing Fri night mikvaos be converted.

Unfortunately sponsoring a mikvah doesn't generate so much kuvod.

Just wait till satmar pulls in they would put something into place I believe.

many have one prep room with a bath. Apparently you haven't seen many mikvaos in Brooklyn.....they also have no space other than a tiny waiting room. A handful of women should suffice in many developments. It's more doable than you think. It's a matter of getting people to care about the klal

To spend 200k to service 2-3 women a night and do that in 20 developments sounds like money spent very inefficiently.
