Speak to the people who actually go into the establishments to check up on them and ask them very detailed questions, specifically if all JSOR policies are in fact implemented uniformly, if there are real consequences when the standards are not met in their entirety if if the establishments are frequently given a pass, and if the mashgiach would feel comfortable eating in each and every establishment. Then you will have the knowledge to make a decision. I have done the above.

Living in lkwd for over 20 years and JSOR of deal was always considered a top tier hechsher. I’ve been told that recently it has become a problem and that many don’t recommend it anymore. Anyone hear the same?

I don’t think what you’re saying is accurate at all.
It was never considered top tier (though I think it’s good) and nor do I hear people saying it declined.

And later rejected and completely disavowed him due to his way out of mainstream shitos. I believe besides for oats on Pesach he holds you can eat a Subway tuna sandwich, buy foods without a hechsher, and serve them to your guest whom you know wouldn’t touch it without telling him it doesn’t have a hechsher. He is ok with Hebrew national franks which almost no mainstream possum will allow. He holds a sefer Torah does not have to be written by a Sofer; it can be printed with silk screening Etc.

It’s sad to think of how many people will see the hechsher in 7-Eleven and think it’s Kosher and it’s in Lakewood, what could be wrong?
