those that dont open a fridge on shabbos hold that way

As per Rav Yaakov Kaminetzky zt"l, there is a difference between a fridge and oven in regard to opening. (A relative of mine asked him.)

Shabbos mode should take care of that issue.

Opening and closing an oven is worse than opening and closing a refrigerator
The star k permits opening a refrigerator on shabbos, yet does not allow closing an oven door if there is food inside.
