Friendly Urgent care has rapid tests (not as accurate but results in 10 minutes). I think it’s free with insurance and $100 without

I’m fairly certain that there’s no copay for COVID tests even on plans that usually have a copay but you should call insurance to verify first.

I went to Friendly's, there's no copay at all, even though my insurance usually charges. They told me it's completely free with no copay for everyone as long as they have insurance.

Rapid is not as accurate as the tests that take 1-2 days for results.

I was told if they detect a positive they would conduct a PCR swab to confirm as they do have some false positives but negatives are more accurate. Personally I tested negative twice there this past week and everyone else in the waiting room while I was there was negative as well so don’t worry too much

I’m here now & they do as @S209 said. A rapid & if there is a positive they do an overnight to confirm. Nurse claims both tests are 80% accurate both ways, no higher rate of false negatives than positives. But there is also many inconclusive results
