My results showed up on the portal about a week after I took the test. (I tested twice there) I'm pretty the results from the first one were never posted on the portal.

My son tested on 9.24. We were never called with results and whenever I tried to call it just rang and rang and nobody picked up. Tonight I noticed an email from 9.30 (late night) that results were up... He was positive

Crazy. They’re basically telling you too late to do anything about it, but early enough to warn other people that they may have *already* infected others..

I very specifically asked about viewing results online and they said it is not available.

Wow. A relative of mine tested in Chemed on Thursday. They had someone drive to his house on Shabbos to deliver his positive results.

I got positive PCR results back from
Chemed within 48 hours. A DP for relatively quick turnaround.

Anyone know anything about the saliva testing sites? Accuracy, speed, wait time?

The portal has been delayed for the last couple weeks however calling the number and pressing 9 for labs will get you quickly to a person who can tell you the results

This just goes right back to the main menu. Not.edu purpose in the tests if you can't get results. Crazy.

I guess they are overwhelmed or that office is closed (It's in Staten island). It worked for me twice and was a lot easier than getting results from friendly.

I did the saliva test, it’s the same one through Vault Health and Rutgers lab that I paid $150 out of pocket for back in May. Spit for a minute or so into a tube and get results in 48 hours or less emailed to you. Last time I got it in only a few hours so I’m hoping I get similar here.

There was no line by Blue Claws and they didn’t ask for too much information.

What are the claimed specificity and sensitivity?

This is the email they sent:


LAB HAS RECEIVED YOUR KIT
The lab has received your SARS-CoV-2 test.

You can expect to receive your results within 48-72 hours. Depending on the sample, you may receive one of the four possible results:
1.   Positive: If you have a positive test result, it indicates that RNA from several genes in the SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) was detected, and that you were infected with the virus at the time that you produced the sample. You are also presumed to be contagious at this stage, and if you have any of the symptoms outlined by the CDC, it is very likely that you have COVID-19.
2.   Negative: A negative test result means that the virus that causes COVID-19 is not present in your sample. If you are feeling sick, you should work with your primary healthcare provider to decide the next steps to take to get treated. Your healthcare provider may consider retesting you with a different COVID-19 test.
3.   Inconclusive: An inconclusive test means that the test could not definitively determine whether you are infected with the SARS-CoV-2-virus. The test is very sensitive and able to provide a positive or negative result in 98% of cases, which means that only 2% of cases will be inconclusive. Detection of 1 gene is not enough to confidently determine a positive or negative result.
4.   Rejected: A test gets rejected when either the test tube breaks or your sample itself is unable to be tested by the lab. If your submitted sample gets rejected, please email us, and we’ll send a new test immediately free of charge.
