Haircuts are $21?!

I gave the guy $20 thinking I was including a generous tip and he tells me it’s $21. I think $80-$100 an hour is a bit steep for cutting hair....

The bad news is that is doesn't matter what me and you think is steep. It matters what people are willing to pay. . .

I have no issue paying $20-30 for a haircut. My issue is paying $21 for a $5 haircut. Literally takes them 3 minutes and they miss spots every time. In busy hours they can rake in $200-300 that’s how quick they are. I end giving myself a haircut when I get home. 

The Italian guy charges $20 and gives a 30 minute haircut. The Jewish guy from out of town is just as thorough and charges $30. Both fine by me.

I have no issue paying $20-30 for a haircut. My issue is paying $21 for a $5 haircut. Literally takes them 3 minutes and they miss spots every time. In busy hours they can rake in $200-300 that’s how quick they are. I end giving myself a haircut when I get home. 

The Italian guy charges $20 and gives a 30 minute haircut. The Jewish guy from out of town is just as thorough and charges $30. Both fine by me.

My biggest problem with Lakewood haircuts is you are paying salon prices and they don’t bother to clean u off of the hair. I commented once to please clean me up where I don’t have hair all over my face and he told me to go home  and take a shower.

Take it easy that’s a $75 haircut. Rent is expensive in Lakewood.

The good news is that I have a $100 Oster at home that gives me and the boys decent haircuts most of the year so I only pay Manhattan prices for Lakewood service Yom Tov time or special occasions.
