Even if Helen is bad, a. She's been there for years. b, The BOE's job is to make sure things are working, not totally dysfunctional.

Sign usually on bulletin board (I don't think its cheaper to buy them, or else you do it yourself, but specify that you want better quality to the person that does it)

Not sure how much cheaper he is than other mechanics, but he comes to you, which is pretty convenient.

Buying pads yourself and then going to a mechanic wont save you any money.
They mark up the pads. Its part of how they make money.
They will probably either up the labor charge, or tell you they wont use the pads you bought.

From what I hear, for most cars it is an easy job, so if a guy does a lot of cars, will be the same job as a mechanic.

Better mechanic?

You don't seem to know much about replacing brakes/rotors.

It doesn't require going to ventus and getting ripped off. As a matter of fact, it doesn't require any mechanic. Its a very basic ordeal for anyone thats a little handy.

Just watch a few youtube videos.

The reason it may not be worth it to do it yourself even if you are handy is A) There are a few tools required that you probably dint own B) It takes time
