This might not be in your best interest but when I went to Florida last I got a great deal on a hotel using my AA miles. It was special sale rate for the Eden Roc.
Ended up being worth it to use... for me at least.

Yup, and check AA for car rentals too, or just use AutoSlash.

what was the rate? you also know the eden roc is a marriott and can be booked with with marriott points

I don't remember exactly. It was around 13,000 a night and I chose the nicer room 2 times higher than the lowest available. I've gotta check back to see the exact details.

    It was a nice Oceanfront room.
