So you're going to be holding an android tethered to a USB charger while roaming the streets of a foreign city?
Too conspicuous/clumsy for me.
Heh my brother does that with his iPhone, gets stopped by mall security every now and then. It is quite funny seeing someone on a phone with a wire going to his pocket :P

Absolutely, there are quite small ones and also there are ones that I can just slip into my pocket while connected with a thin wire.
Besides, roaming the streets staring at the phone is conspicuous as it is IMO.

Exactly.  I look at it, and then leave it in my pocket until I need the directions again.  But the phone and a USB charger is more complication than I need.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

What wrong with conspicuous? :D

Reminds me of when they didn't have outlets on planes and when people were sleeping (so the bathrooms weren't in big demand) I would use the outlet in the bathroom to charge my laptop :P

That is all? I've also seen tips to charge all the way and drain all the way for 3 consecutive times...

A new battery has enough with one full recharge.
The 3x charge/drain works for used battery's that have in them 'old power' that hasn't been used and just take up space.

Does that apply to Lithium Ion as well?

So far so good. Still getting acquainted because I didn't have that much time to play with it but its pretty awesome to be able to take a bunch of shots with one hit of a button and to be able to choose the best one. The quality of the photos is superb, crystal clear!
Also, being able to snap pictures while taking a video as well as when replaying the video is pretty awesome as well.
And the dedicated camera button makes it all a breeze!

If you care to upload some shots that would be great. And let us know how the battery life is.

Here is a thread with shots from the Evo 4G LTE.

Battery life has been amazing for me so far, although I don't get as good reception as I did with my OG Evo.

So BAH, did you root yet?
Nope, not yet. I am waiting for an S-OFF method that dosen't use HTCDev.com and is reversible in case I ever need to submit a warranty claim.

Too bad that thread doesn't show the amazing effects that could be done with it.
My personal favorite is "Cinnamon" took some outdoors pics of my kids and they look amazing with that effect.

As I expressed myself before, I don't really care for looks in a phone.
The reason that I might do it is because the matte part of the phone is VERY smooth and it's a little slippery for when I'm holding the phone upright (like if I'm seating back on a sofa or laying down).
The shiny top part OTOH is more grippy.

Get a case. got this one http://www.amazon.com/Diztronic-Flexible-Sprint-Retail-Packaging/dp/B00851NV6G/ and it helps the slipperiness a bit, without adding too much bulk.

I already got my gel cover from Sprint. I prefer not to use a case/cover though.

That actually looks very cool. Depending on what the coating on the back is, you could try somehow sanding/scraping it in stripes, which would possibly help you have a better grip.
