Author Topic: Kosher, Kashrus and Hechsherim Master thread (Read 966737 times)

While most 7/11 flavors are kosher and some stores like the one in lakewood NJ located on river ave is certified kosher for their slurpees in that location. So there's a lot to rely on when drinking a slurpee.
Now...
I've seen people who been drinking the slurpees from QuickCheck gas stations, And then those that drink the icees(slurpees) from the wawa stations. Is there a hechsher given on those machines? Flavors? Is it the same as 7/11 or shall I stay away from them?

You would need to know the status of the syrup to even have a conversation.

If the syrup is kosher, most likely the machine is kosher on the basis of everything being cold + batel.

Which means I need to ask for the box, but for how long does that inspection last? Or do I assume they use the same flavor in that store?

This is the flavors the wawa on E county and squankom had this past week in nj.

Furthermore, I think it is safe to say that no Kashrus Certifying Agency is perfect. So it would be counter productive (from several perspectives) to publicly point out faults of others, as that could lead to a very slippery slope. One should only hope and wish that issues that are pointed out in limited circles that discuss Kashrus, should be taken in the proper spirit and addressed, rather than used as a spark to create a fire where others are damaged.

What is exactly are you asking - there is a Vaad Harabonim of Riverdale which gives hashgachos to the local restaurants.
