Kosher, Kashrus and Hechsherim Master thread

Can someone please break this down for me? I really have no idea (either halacha or "faux meats") but is it different than "vegan-plant based meat" (like impossible foods or beyond meat) as here it's cultured and the base (ma'amed?) is actually meat (cow stem cells) which themselves aren't enough of the final product to make it "Fleish" but are enough to stop actual mixing with milk? Or is it a mar'as ayin issue and if so does he hold vegan meat is also an issue?

I assume the latter. Why wouldn't vegan meat be an issue? You just have to follow the rules when serving it.

Are non-dairy creamers or pareve margarine an issue? I would imagine at this point vegan meat is common enough that it's not really an issue, though I may be wrong and definitely AYLOR (maybe it's a community based issue where it's common or not?). It seems to me that this would possibly have ma'amid issue (where plant meat doesn't have) although I would like to see the actual psak of his and any other pertinent info if anyone has.

here in israel, vegan meat is almost more common than real meat. soy hotdogs, shnitzels, kabobs, and burgers are extremely common.

Yeah, depends where. Still... Rav Lau mentioned that it depends if it is being marketed as "meat" or "meat-alternative." That sounds like maras ayin, and definitely can't be maamad. I do wonder about the maamad issue, though.

As per crc dried mango with no additives does not need a hechsher.

Plus the same mango in USA has a Ou.

I have the package live, it does not state the method used for drying (nor does it say the source of the fruit however it is probably grown in Mexico)

cRc does not recommend frozen strawberries even with hashgacha unless the certification clearly states it is “bug free”. However, any brand of frozen strawberries may be purchased if they will be used in pureed products such as smoothies. If one wishes to eat frozen strawberries, the following is an approved method to clean them: 1) place them in water until defrosted 2) add a generous amount of soap or kosher veggie wash 3) agitate them for 20 to 30 seconds 4) rinse off with plain water.
