There are many overriding reasons to do or not do either of those. Some of the worst I know at rotating and buying fresh are also "checker stores". It is definitely possible that there is a difference between stores but in halacha we presume them to be the same until we know otherwise.

We used to sift flour (now we buy pre-sifted) and in 5-7 years, we never found an insect. I don't know if this has any Halachic implications, but that's what our experience was...

I think most people check  in charedi circles here. My point is just that when you check and never  find in a place where everyone checks,then it  maybe only means that the storekeepers make sure to have clean stock despite the problems and although it  may not be a miut hamatzui specifically where you buy  it doesnt mean that it is not a miut hamatzui if you buy elsewhere.

Does anyone have any info on Glatt Kosher Family? Their hechsher went from ou to uk after the manaplan incident. Apparently UK is the udvero chassidus (based in Williamsburg), but the numbers on the certificate are all dead. Any leads are appreciated

I'm actually curious about this too. I used to eat there before I knew anything about kashrus... I was wondering if the new hechsher was better.

Udvari can barely be called an hechsher. Once upon a time many Manhattan restaurants who wanted a chassidish name had it.
