I personally would just order Dubble Bubble which are surely Kosher... A sister of mine asked me if there is any way of knowing if these specific gumballs are Kosher... So figured I'll ask here...

segal ran the shchita for CHK for years. There been a squabble for at least a year so he organized that it should go under VRL.

Practical difference for those who specifically relied on the Lubavitch hechsher? Absolutely. In day to day operations at Agri? Probably not, except maybe a decrease in production for the Shor Habor line.

Pardon my ignorance, but aren't these both Lubavitcher Hechsherim?
Also Moko wrote that R' Segal was the one who ran the shchita for CJBD so what would be the practical NM in the actual kashrus?
Is there any other source for CHBD chicken/meat that can realistically ramp up production to meat (ha ha) the "CHBD only" demand?

CHK is an established hechsher with a track record. Lamed K (or whatever they plan on calling themselves) doesn't have history. As individuals, each Rav has a track record that people may or may not rely on.

Re other sources, I'm guess David Elliott and Marvid are about to become a lot more popular for chicken. Beef... I don't know. Mehadrin in MTL has runs with Lubavitch shochtim. Maybe they'll split the brand (a la Agri/SH) and push it more.
