Rabbi Auerbach believes this to be an issue

I heard Rabbi Auerbach saying in a drasha not to trust any olive oil for pesach except with badatz or New square.
(On another note, he says that cottonseed oil is מהדרין מן המהדרין better than any other oil on the market, this of course besides the machlokes on its kitniyos status)

I remember hearing that the OU and many other Hashgachos consider Olive Oil to be a category 1 item and therefore do not require any supervision or specail handling. So even when it bears a Hashgacha there was no actual supervision since there isnt any needed. Hoever there are those that feel that there is room and possibility of Kashrus problems with olive oil and therefore olive oil with Hashgacha is not necesarily reliable. Does this sound familiar or does anyone know anything more about this?

Rabbi juravel discusses it here, potential problems with olive oil. He works for the OU so I’m not sure that it answers your question though…

Were it comes from makes a big difference. Just this year chanuka time there was a recall on the olive oil being sold in oshar ad with a bet yosef on it because it was not actually olive oil. It was made in Turkey. I was told Italian olive oil is good because there is alot of pressure there to produce quality virgin olive oil.

It wasn't kitniyos last year or in 2021. There was a one year production issue in 2022.

Also, in 2021, the version I got in the US had a label for the Israeli market, so I doubt that they're getting the product a year later.
Data points:
KF Kitnios ketchup was made in 2022
KF non-Kitznios ketchup was made first in 2023
We saw KF Kitnios ketchup in IL ONLY in 2023
We first see KF non-Kitnios ketchup in IL this year

Hence my conclusions.
Regarding IL products in the US, YOU seem to get IL products the same year they are made.

COR says it does.

IIRC does Tropicana sometimes put passover in the datestamp?

Beware, Costco's most popular (and best tasting) bottled water is not kosher for Passover. (When searching for Kirkland "Spring" water, the OU shows "Kosher for Passover without special certification", but this is purified water, not spring water, mistake almost happened to me.)

I guess it depends on the location as water is more of a locally sourced thing

I'm in Toronto for YT. I see the ones here have an OU-P as well.
