Can't imagine a blackberry lasting thru a powerwash.

That could be why frozen strawberries raspberries and blackberries are fine without a hechsher according to CRC

If it is only because of what he has in mind then to puree for cake filling in a case where the only reason one is pureeing is due to the bug concern wouldn't work. If it is because they are considering it matzui not muchzak then it would.

Since they are washed better, they are only considered matzui

who purees for cakes? Even pie fillings aren't pureed rather they are macerated. I think it's pretty clear what puree means. Generally you would only puree something you want pureed. If it's a miyut shaino matzui then you may have a heter for pei filling and canned as well of avar ubishul- ee efsher lsanino

At the end of the day someone who is looking to puree for a cake (regardless of why they want to puree) will look at the CRC website and see that you may. If that is not the case, the CRC should definitely clarify it.
