IIRC it depends on origin. It's either heavily infested or it's not considered infested.

Quinoa in general is free from infestation concerns. There was a bad batch that got infested last summer but that was a localized issue and it is long off the shelves.

Why does the Star K bring up basar shenisalem min ha’ayin?? Doesn't the Rama pasken that basar shenisalem min ha’ayin is mutar?

Thanks. Should I be doing this step if I plan to cook anything at all with the grill, even if not on a grate, such as roasting marshmallows on a stick?
