I happen to have heard, first hand, at  least one Major litvishe posek in NY say this.
He happens to have mispalelim/talmidim who come from, and still have family in Italy. He did his investigations, and that was his conclusion.
I heard this at least 10 years ago. I do not know what he says today. They have since added additional hechsherim.
As I recall, his reasoning was not that a meshichist will cause a problem with the wine, rather that there are problems with ne'emanus, and eidus.

You would be surprised at how many mainstream hechsherim rely on Chabad including “meshichist” to certify their products.

Bartenura always had another hashgacha, namely, Weissmandel. The issue was with Joyvin which only carries the Milan hashgacha.

Looking at the Rabbinical board I would assume it is. Though you should inquire with them what their standards are, and see if they fit your standards.

Is stella artois cidre kosher? I bought it at benzs in crown heights but now I see online and here that it's not kosher but that was posted in 2014...  Anyone know?

Why not ask at Benz’s, where you bought it? Their beer is (IMHO) disgusting, is their cider any better? Also, does Stella Artois really spell it cidre?

Sorry for not updating. I did but couldn't at the moment as they already closed for shabbos when I realized. They said it doesn't have an official hechsher per se but based off their research they think it's fine

Most opinions (including OU) do not require a hechsher for dish soap. I'm not an expert and can't say for certain, but in all likelihood, the ingredients are not problematic regardless.

I stumbled across learn.oheltorah.com where apparently people post products and others answer yes or no. From a cursory glance most answers are yes, and they are basing it off of the ingredients, unless they have a secret method of determining kashrus that is not being publicized.
This is all supposedly talmidim of Rabbi Abadi, and Ralph Lasry runs the show. Ralph Lasry also runs kosherstarbucks.com.
Even an educated food scientist paskening based on an ingredient panel doesn't meet my personal standards, which means that I need to fully discount kosherstarbucks.com.
Am I reaching the correct conclusion? any of the lakewood folk like @aygart have any insight?

There are also plenty of products where everybody agrees the ingredient list is definitive enough. Raw fish, tea, coffee, bear, scotch, and downhill from there

fish needs to have simanim according to every shita I know of
