Never understood why they chose the term the Chumash uses for the shovel used to cover excrement as the name for their newspaper.

Kirkland frozen strawberries used to have OU I think.
Then, they were no longer available for a long time.
Now, they are available again under a different hechsher and it says to check for bugs. I don't remember the name. Not one you see around.

In such situations, the obvious question is why isn't OU certifying anymore?

That's probably less true with KS products, as it's probably just as likely that they could be changing vendors, rather than the original vendor losing hashgacha.

Easy giveaway not to rely on a hechsher that certifies frozen produce that needs to be checked.

They went from OU to Kosher Check (Rabbi Feigelstock) here in Canada a while ago.

I don’t know what you’re referring to but I suspect it might be if you’re allowed to be מבטל a ספק איסור. But that isn’t necessarily the same as creating a ספק ספיקא.
