תשובה: 1. במשך כל השנה תאכל אצלם באותם כלים, אך בפסח תחמיר ואל תאכל בכלים אלו - הם יבינו את זה, כי בפסח הרבה אנשים מחמירים בדברים שונים. 2. לאשתך תתן לעשות מה שהיא רוצה כשהיא נמצאת בבית הוריה, וגם בפסח אם תרצה לאכול באותם כלים אל תעיר לה על כך, ושתעשה מה שהיא רוצה. כמובן שבביתך שלך תסדר שיאכלו בכלים נפרדים (שם א, עמ' קסז).

הבאתי לרב משלוח מנות, וביקשתי ממנו שיאמר לי דבר תורה בקשר לפורים. הרב אמר לי: בפורים כל אחד לוקח מחבירו משלוח מנות ואין בודקים אחד לשני איזה הכשר יש למאכלים. אם כל אחד ידחה את המשלוח מנות של חברו בגלל שהוא מחמיר שלא לאכול מהכשרים מסויימים, אי אפשר יהיה לקיים את מצות משלוח מנות איש לרעהו כמו שצריך, ותהרס שמחת החג (שם, עמ' רמח).

Okay, to be precise: in my local Maayan, I check every milk product and every bottle of wine, except around Pesach when I check everything. But whenever I'm further out or in a place with different standards, yes - I check everything.
Let me ask you: how many times did you get something that was heter mechira by mistake? How many times did you get something that was made on a different run with an MK instead of a Rubin? How many products that normally have OU but had absolutely nothing? How many times - and this happened in Maayan - that they put Rav Weitzman milk on the shelf (not even Tenuva Mehadrin)?
Things like this have happened to me more than ten times. You learn your lesson eventually.

this was a uniquely Israeli problem until more recent times. Fir many years there was an unspoken rule that we didn't put hashgacha on a label that had an identical non kosher label in the same region. Unfortunately, that ship has sailed.

I still find that most pesach products have a different label than the same product year round (although I would prefer if the difference was starker sometimes)

both but the blame lies on the hashgacha

ok so i only use badatz or volove  and not for meat or wine. (for those I bli"n try not to rely on hechsherim) .That leaves most products to be pretty much always the same .Yes milk I always check  because it constantly changes. But I do you (or your wife ) check every bag of osem bisli, pasta etc. that is always the same?

I told you - not in Maayan, yes in places like out of town or in Osher Ad or Rami Levi.
