Chase cards and the 6 month rule
« on: January 28, 2010, 02:27:01 PM »
It is really annoying that chase only allows one card to be opened every 6 months...Is there any way to get around this?

I managed to get 2 cards in the last 6 months and i think i know why. I opened one card and then we moved. I opened the second card after moving and think one of two things happened:
Either i forgot to change the address on the first one until after i signed up for the second one, or they just didn't pick up on it because the applications were made at different addresses. I don't know if this is for sure the reason. Perhaps some just slip under the radar? You would think they would track it by your SS#...

Does anyone else have any experience with getting more that one chase card within a 6 month time period?

Not necessarily churning..im talking about opening them for the first time.
I opened the Priority club and the chase sapphire in the last 6 months. I'd like to open other chase cards...the Southwest one, united, marriott

so someone just gave me a negative kudos after starting this thread...why do we have such babies here? Not that these kudos mean anything, but it just goes to show that no one here takes it seriously and it should be eliminated so we can just discuss deals.

Not yet, its been about 2 months so far. The bankers have a place in the application to put their remarks in.

Every time I call Chase for questions I have about my accounts they offer me a credit card with a 5k limit and 0% int for the first 6 months, and I just opened the BA card a couple of months ago
