mamas & papas strollers
« on: May 31, 2012, 02:54:40 PM »
Theres a stroller out there called the Mylo made by Mamas & papas i was told its a hot stroller in England and fairly new in the U.S. & therefore  is really hard to find out much. Does anyone have it or know about it? can you compare it to the bugaboo?

How it compares to Bugaboo?  Bugaboo is lightyears behind UppaBaby in design, I'd think that would be the one to be doing comparisons to...

Hey Dan you're probably right but the Mylo is definitely much cooler than the uppababy

Bugaboo may also be cooler than UB, but having tried the Bug and UB out there's just no comparison in practicality.

Bla bla bla.... After all Bugaboo is at the top for style and design, never tried any others so can't say anything about lightweight or practicality,  but style and design I can see.
I Love My Bugaboo!
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

That sums it up.  If you look back I felt the same way as you did before I switched to the UB.  The difference between them is shocking.
Luckily I got both for free.

+1 on the uppa baby. Besides all the advantages the main on is:

Big basket :) sounds stupid but ask anyone that has kids and they will tell you the advantages!

Search DDF and ye' shall find :)

The big basket which holds ~8x what a Bug holds and is more accessible is up there.  The "pushibility" of the UB is way easier than the bug, especially on bumpy surfaces.  The UB wheels never have to be pumped with air.  The seat on the UB is incredible and will protect your child from rain and the elements if needed. UB CS is a dream, Bug CS is a nightmare.

I can go on, but don't get me wrong, when I had the Bug and didn't have the UB yet I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread.

curious... when you say uppa baby- i like the stroller as well- many things about it- but does it compare to a smaller stroller like the bugaboo bee? i will need to get a smaller stroller now that im moving to the US and im not interested in a huge thing to lug around... also my son now is 2 so that adds to the weight of any stroller...

I personally have the bugaboo cameleon for the past 4 years and I think it is great. No complain abt the seat, and the wheels are foam filled so no air pumping for me... But my main concern was (at the time my kids needed it) that the bassinet was very low, and the bumpiness, it really is a pain if not in a clean manhattan street (especially don't try it in a dirt road in Israel!)... However, I feel CS was great (as I received a replacement stroller after having used it for more than 3 yrs) but like u said

didn't have the UB yet I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread.

I would go with a McLaran small, foldable, and cheaper. Also the Bee is a tiny seat. You have a big kid

I don't know about bugaboo, but uppa baby warranty and customer service rules.

You have an issue 2 days later they have it by your door. (new frame, wheels, whatever)

hate mclaran. I have a cybex, and an inglesina (both were free) but looking for a more permanent stroller- but also a good one for an infant (u cant turn the seat around in any travel stroller and thats a big one by me) and the new bee is a bigger seat- and he fits into the bee anyhow as it is.. i liked it for an infant also.

first of all, its a $100 saving, not $50, That's the special edition 2011 which is/was priced at $699.
Second, I mean best deal for this particular product (of course not as good as Dan did.... But still....)
