Seven Mile Market - supposedly the largest kosher supermarket in the country.

Market Maven (formerly Seasons) - great prices for meat and chicken, also good place for shabbos food

Hotels:
Only 1 Close and decent hotel to Jewish area (but not quite walking distance) is this Hilton Doubletree

Airbnb in the frum community:
Eruv Inn
Edelweiss - Located about 15 minutes from the frum community, practically next door to Ateres Elka wedding hall

Otherwise, there are a number of nice hotels downtown (which is also the inner harbor area) and near BWI airport. There are no shuls in the downtown area with regular minyanim, aside from Mincha minyanim in various offices.

Restaurants in the Jewish area (in no particular order):

Dairy

Dunkin Donuts - 2 kosher locations
Here and Here

Croustille Cafe French Bakery - French bakery with many delicious dairy and pareve bakery items.

Milk & Honey Bistro - dairy homestyle cooking

Goldberg's Bagels - very good bagels and free wifi.

Mama Leah's - pizza that is a bit different, but IMHO (Lunatic), the best pizza in Baltimore

Tov Pizza - classic pizza shop - Mocha thinks this is a hell of a lot better than ^

Caramel's - pizza shop, also has sushi

Cocoaccinos/Pie 18 - cafe with sandwiches and salads, as well as custom made brick oven pizza

Playa Bowls Quarry Lake - "the original Acai bowl" - lots of great pareve options as well, delicious bowls

Pareve

Sushi Sakura
Cinnaholic Owings Mills - This location only was recently certified kosher pareve (across from the area Costco).

Meat

David Chu's - Reasonably priced great Chinese food and good sushi. Dan's rating - 7.25/10

Phone:(410) 484-5850

The Club Deli & Grill - Newly opened (2023) fleishig meat/sandwich restaurant

Thanks for finding out.I thought they close at like 6.I dont live in a heavily (frum) populated area. Not many people I can ask to do that. Besides I donr trust necessarily trust them to get the cut how I like it.

ok. Got it. Baltimore's places are a hit or miss sometimes, too. Wasserman and Seven Mile are probably your best bet at this hour....

is it easier for someone in NY to get you a good cut locally, and you'll pick it up from them tonight (in ice from their mailbox, if needed) when you arrive?  ..... i.e. why try to buy it, cool it, and travel with it from MD when you are planning to smoke it in NY?
1 reason is because Wassserman and Lemberger could be 1 of the top butchers around.

I know it's not for this thread per se, but any ideas for stopping for food on the way from NY to Cambridge? Looks like Cherry Hill and Philly would add about 30 minutes to the drive. Any other ideas?

I'll go out on a limb and assume you mean Cambridge, MD and not Cambridge, MA.
Cherry Hill should be right along the way since you will be driving down the NJTPK or 295.

There is nowhere to find good steaks anywhere in Baltimore.

I'd argue with the usage of the word great. The meat they use is not marbled, and is not good if you know what a good piece of meat should taste like. I don't fault the chef as I think the lamb burger is the best of any kind I've ever had.

Even Wasserman's severely overpriced "wagyu" beaf is subpar. They're MD grown and i bet is much cheaper than the meat that comes from the midwest. Its not terrible, but not good for the money at all.

I'm no connoisseur, but I've been to Prime Grill, Solo, Reserve Cut, and plenty of others, and I feel it's comparable.  To each his own, I guess.
