Costco Membership Up 10% and Increasing Rewards to $750

While this isn't new, it just came to my attention now, when I received the renewal letter.

For regular members, this is obviously a devaluation.
But for Executive Members, with the Rewards Max being raised from $500 to $750, could be a good thing.

So anyone happy with the change? (You don't have to say how much over $10k you spend a year at Costco )

With 50 odd million members, not a bad way to raise some cash...

And that's after membership was raised only about 2 years ago.

Although for someone who uses them i would say it's probably still worth it.

Interesting, the refer a friend offer doesn't reflect the new membership fees, but is still active till June 2012.

Of course two people with two diff last names can share (remember, there are many married couples that applies to).

Both do not need to be present to sign up -- the second person comes when they can, goes to the membership desk to get their pic taken and pick up their membership card.

Not sure about your question of avoiding the membership fee -- it is Costco's main source on Net Income, so they don't discount membership fees.
