I signed up for 3 cards in June and had still not received the $25 bonus gift cards as of yesterday, so last night, I sent an SM at the main Amex site categorized under my SPG card; other rewards program asking for assistance. I received this reply this morning:

I apologize for the delay caused in processing your reward.
I contacted our Prepaid Card department for you and was informed that your gift cards were sent out on August 15, 2012. As you never received the cards, it is most likely that they were lost in the mail.
However, you donāt have to worry about this anymore, in order to resolve this matter for you I've a issued a credit of $75.00 to your account in lieu of the three $25.00 gift cards.
You will be able to view the credit online within 24-48 hours from now.
