$25 gift card for Amex prepaid card with $200 load

I hadn't gotten any of mine. I suspect they have the Amex GC department and NOT the prepaid department process the gift card portion of the order. I have had trouble in the past with the gift card department on receiving cards. Anyhow I called them and got the $25 credit to each card instead...

I also had not received it..called them up and they credited the $25...the next day I received the $25 gift card in the mail!

same thing happened to me.  I called on Tuesday, they said that I was supposed to have received it on Aug 3 so they credited the account, then I got the gc yesterday.

I didn't get it either, they are basically telling me that since I was a current member the funds had to be in the account before June 30th,not just loaded.

Indian rep just told me that I get one free withdrawal a month, after is $2 each.
When I purchase additional cards, do I register them from my account, or must set up a new user name for the other two? Also do they require a ss to register?

I still haven't gotten any of my GCs... I suspect it has something to do with me always having difficulty getting Amex GC orders through. I guess I'll have to call them. Yay.

I had the same issue. Had not received the cards. I called AMEX and the rep said that no cards were issues, so he credited the existing prepaid cards on the spot with $25 each

when it comes time to verify the bank deposits i just go to my account and verify all 3? or itll be just one deposit for all 3? or do i need to make accounts for the "users" i wrote to verify ?

I contacted our Prepaid Card department for you and was informed that your gift cards were sent out on August 15, 2012. As you never received the cards, it is most likely that they were lost in the mail.

However, you donā€™t have to worry about this anymore, in order to resolve this matter for you I've a issued a credit of $75.00 to your account in lieu of the three $25.00 gift cards.

You will be able to view the credit online within 24-48 hours from now.

What a nice way to start the week!

UPDATE: the day after receiving the lovely message quoted above, 3 envelopes arrived in the mail, each with a $10 Amex gift card enclosed. I didn't bother contacting Amex regarding the mistake because Amex already fulfilled its promise by crediting my SPG credit card with the $75 I was to have received in gift cards.

Imagine my surprise when I opened up the mail box this afternoon to find 3 more envelopes each containing a $25 gift card from Amex.

So from this promotion, Amex has already disbursed $180 to me.

The GC's they send do not work at ATM's the prepaids are 400/day per card forever so far.

Spend $200 get back $285
