Stop by take-out store, bring crock pot, set up shop anywhere you want.

Do you cook for the take-out store?

I hear ya, but then i have to worry about leaving the room on shabbos and then preparing the food etc...
kosher hotels sometimes have an eruv and a key for the room so i don't feel trapped in my room the whole shabbos

Since when do you need a eruv chatzeiros in a hotel?
Tape the door, lock your valuable in a safe, not a big deal.
Throw the food in and on top of a crock pot IMHO and have an easy getaway.

Due to the fact that:
A. The hotel owns the objects in the room.
B. The hotel always has the right to make you move rooms (it's even happened to me before)
most Rabbis will not necessitate an eruv chatzeiros in a hotel.

Yes this is the halacha as both of them are guests u need an eiruv however if everyone shares a common kitchen would not need an eiruv these halochos or complex and u should contact a Rav. Rabbi Ribiat in his sefer 39 Malochos expounds upon this.

As this is not a halacha forum I did not go into all the complex halachos involved. I would suggest u ask your Rav for clarification. I will ask Rabbi Chaikin next time I see him - you might be surprised.

Absolutely, but be sure that the relevant issues are discussed.
That the hotel owns the items in the room, that the hotel can enter your room at any time without your permission, that the hotel can forcefully move you from the room to another room or even evict you from the hotel.

Feel free to report back.

Are you kidding? Even if they accept your $1, they aren't authorized to rent you the place.

May as well tell the bellhop when you hand him a tip that it's for renting the place...he's got the same authority as the front desk peon.
