haven't been there but be aware that the owner also owns another establishment-an adult entertainment venue. That one isn't kosher...

So long as it doesn't share the same place or name why would I care?

Just in case you wanna go, don't eat the food.

Or maybe the cc charge comes up as Larry Flints. That's gonna be hard to explain to whoever goes through your cc bill.

Never been to any, but shouldn't the 3 kosher Michelin starred restaurants listed? I believe they are Restaurant 1701 in London and Mul Hayam in Tel Aviv. Anybody knows the 3rd?

Oh well. Seems I was confusing Michelin awarded, non-kosher Mul Yam with glatt kosher Mul Hayam

have you ever been to a restaurant that when you tasted something it made you stop dead in your tracks by how good it was? For me it was the first time I had Shallots sushi. I literally stopped mid conversation because of the sheer surprise of how good it was. Anyone else have that?

Don't get me wrong, I love food, but to say that food will "take me over"....too much of a stretch.

i'm not saying that the food "[took] me over" (i'm pretty sure you can only use quotation marks when you are quoting someone.) I'm just saying that it made me pause.

For a short time they did, but in general kashrus was fine. Their thurs buffet was incredible and most of their food was also (amazing hot and sour soup) . Also was prob the only restaurant in bklyn with a parking lot!

IMO Yes! Shang Chai's food was incredible! I still dream about those egg rolls. Unfort they closed last year.  I did hear that Chosen Garden has great food too.
