Not sure if this belongs here but I ordered from Corky's in Memphis last time the day school there had a fundraiser. The brisket was good but nothing special. The ribs were excellent but the baked beans were amazing!!! Definitely worth a try and the money goes to tzedaka.

I went to Nobo is Teaneck last night and was NOT impressed.
We had a terrible waitress.
I know laamb riblits can be fatty, but the ones I got were 95% fat and 5% meat.
The hanger steak was very salty.

Wanted to order a mixed drink, with two diff ones together, they made it in the past, last night they didn't want to do it. Blamed it on the Mashgiach, and other prob we had they blamed it on "that's how they make kosher food".
If you have to blame it on being kosher then you should not be cooking kosher.

This was based on my one time there, I may go back but not before I try ETC.

Overall I was no impressed.

Sorry but if you think house of dog is a great kosher restaurant you need help. Overpriced, my burger was on a cheap bun that got soggy and fell apart.

True, but it really grates me... the owner does a fantastic job at rare, I just felt that the house of dog concept should deliver, its overall cheaper to drink at say the Yard house so I dont understand the point of HOD with subpar food, unless you have hashkafah issues with drinking at the yardhouse

Me too, best BBQ ever (though wandering Que in NYC area is also very good fresh). corkys brisket and beans are incomparable, though i felt ribs weren't worth it.

Although not mehadrin (just rabbanut, which i never ate in my years in yeshiva), i noticed several chareidim eating in Kadosh in Jlem (near mamilla) when i was last there. the place is run by a religious family (cook wears a black velvet yarmulke, and was really nice). This place was probably the best milchig meal i ever had, and was reasonably priced too (though the place seems to get packed sometimes). What are the start and end time of the BBQ. UA has 7am there and 7pm back from Ewr available.
