Earn 5% cash back on two categories that you choose, like home improvement stores or airline tickets.1, 2

Wow, is there no time limit on these 5% categories?
Sounds like a sweet deal, especially since it's from a smaller issuer.

My exact thoughts. Need to find out about the 25 bonus also. This could be a 6.25% card. Let the good times roll. I see another new car in my future!!!  :)

@HelpMe its about time you share your tricks how you take advantage of these CashBack cards.
How do you roll over in the 6 digits? (if you do).
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

Sometimes you don't get the rewards T&C's until you get the card.

additional pros:Experian® Credit Score – Internet Banking customers receive their Experian credit score at no cost.
cons:25% "Cash+" Bonus is in the form of a U.S. Bank Rewards Card.

the real trick will be, figuring out which category can include a CL churning method (AP, GCs, Square, etc.)

May or may not be FICO.

I'll gladly take a $25 GC instead of nothing.

One of the 2% categories is "Bill Pay"...

Wouldn't that mean utilities etc. or is that a separate category?

ETA:

Yup, look at the details for that one:

Quote
Bill Payment: 5%
Examples include service providers like Comcast, DIRECTV, AT&T and State Farm insurance.

Get cash back every month when you set up automatic bill payments for phone, internet, cable/satellite TV, utilities, and insurance.

The entities listed above are merely examples of the type of companies and merchants that fall within each particular category. U.S. Bank, its parent, and affiliated corporations are not affiliated, connected, or associated with these entities, nor are its products and services endorsed by these entities

Going to be a trial and error to see how to maximize this. Need to see the full billpay list for automatic payments.

would gift cards @ some of the 5% places be a money maker?

They probably don't publish a list, it works by merchant category, and I don't even think they'll give you a list of those.
