but if you're running heavy spend, what is the value of TYP specifically?

Even 1:1 is good when it's 5 points per. And if they ever link themselves to an airline program, HelpMe will have hit the jackpot.
And if not, he can always book ppl flights through Citi and collect 1.25 cpm, but I'm guessing he wouldn't want the hassle.

From his earlier posts on this site it seems he prefers cash to miles (despite the higher resale value of miles), maybe that has since changed.

I don't think we have any reason to believe US bank will suddenly have a mileage partner anytime soon.

Hopefully someday the opportunity will present itself where the both of us can sit down together and talk about this cash/miles thing.  Maybe our perspectives might change.

Hopefully, though I hope we'd use the time more wisely than that :P

We're talking about TYP, not US Bank.

Paid a State Farm bill and received 5%. I clicked through their bill pay list. Will try it with Comcast clicking through their list and paying it directly to see what will happen.

This isn't the TYP program. That's through Citi.

these are two very strong offers

https://www.doctorofcredit.com/us-bank-leverage-business-card-750-signup-bonus-with-7500-spend/
https://www.doctorofcredit.com/u-s-bank-business-cash-rewards-500-sign-up-bonus/

what's your take?

P.S. I have seen reports that you have to be within us banks footprint in order to be approved for their products.

is that just for their bank account or will that affect these cards as well?

and at what stage does it stop you are you able to apply but it will just be declined, or will it not go through at all?

and they have a 3X points on wallat payments, including Apple pay, Samsung pay, Google pay, which at 1.5 redemption rate means you can can get 4.5 back for all purchases...

earn 3X Points on travel and mobile wallet purchases 12.

but remember its either or, travel and mobile wallet will not earn 8 points, it will earn only 3X

and for transactions using a mobile wallet. “Mobile wallet” is defined as the method of paying for a transaction by use of a mobile device (in-store, in-app or online) and includes ApplePay®, Samsung Pay, Google Pay™ and LG Pay®. If the transaction is an eligible mobile wallet transaction and an eligible travel category transaction, additional Points will only be awarded for one of the transaction types (Points will be applied as mobile wallet, not travel).
