Banks That You Can Fund With A Credit Card Purchase

Citibank-No limit. (I've done as high as $48,500).
After a few times they will stop letting you fund with a cc.

Chase-$500 per account if opened online.

Dan,

just curious..how close was that 48k to your credit limit?
I heard its not a good idea to use more than have your available credit...
My highest credit limit on a non-amex card is like 15k...would it be stupid to go for 14.5?

Also, this cant be done with an amex, can it?

My limit was about 70K I think.

With those 2 banks it's Visa/MC only, not sure about any other banks.

Using out a card to it's a max should never be done on AMEX, but on other cards it's not as bad.

Does that also work if the Credit Card is from Citi, like the A"A card, or will they treat it as a CA?

Of course it would be  good idea to set your cash advance to $0 or close to it.

Dan, I'm new here, apoligize for misunderstanding, but are you saying I can open a Citi Checking or Chase checking account and fund it with my Continental or AA Credit Card? and get miles like a regular purchase? The AA miles would count towards lifetime elite miles? Wow, Really?
