Checking into a hotel in the Morning

This may be a very noob question, but I've never done it before.
If your flight lands early in the morning and you are connecting later in the evening, is it possible to get a hotel room for the day without paying for two days?

Airport hotels wiill often have a rate by the hour/day. Otherwise u have to confirm it directly with the hotel.

If you're a 70-night SPG plat u are guranteed so long as u confirm 48hrs in advance & there's avail.

I have checked in to hotels in the morning countless times If the room is available you should have no problem. I would not email the hotel you dont want to give them the chance to charge you.

just did it a few months ago with the W Lax. arrived 11:00am and checked out 8:30pm in time for my flight to sydney. confirmed by phone before arriving.

usually they will do it if there is an available room. same will be even if you are staying the night and checking out the next day.

but of course, YMMV

Even if there's no room available, you can always leave your luggage and request that they call you as soon as your room is available.

+1, they can even bring the luggage up for you so it's there when you're back.
