Author Topic: Shoe company replace/repair policies (Read 10582 times)

I am looking into buying a pair of shoes from a company that has a free replace/repair policy, no matter how old the shoe is even if they are not defective, just plain worn out.
I would consider any company at any price. Does anyone know which companies have this policy?

I know Bloomingdale's will do it. I did it a few times already and you could even do an even exchange.

Seems like there's a lot of room for abuse. Is this official (I've heard of nordstrom doing this but never bloomingdales) policy or just a nice gesture to you?

I know many people who do this, the store doesn't care. My wife just did it yesterday with a shoe she wore out in the winter and they let her exchange it for a more summery color. I actually heard that nordstom is more strict and won't always do it.

Do you have no embarrassment to walk into a store with a pair of shoes that are clearly used to ask them to fix them for you? Obviously unless there is something wrong with them that is not regular wear and tear.

Nope, no shame. They actually don't even ask why I'm returning it most times.

How about companies instead of stores? I know Cole Haan for example has a repair program that for something like $60-$80 they will repair their shoes to look like new.

I think cole hagan may have another program that if you spend like 100 dollars you can get a completely new pair of shoes.

Any shoes by them? I have a pair that I wore until they're totally worn, I love them. Where can I get more info about this?

P.s. Cole Haan air-sole shoes are awesome (albeit nerdy looking at times), and can be had very cheap when on sale (e.g. DSW, Macy's).
