You can get CO exit row seats at online check-in 24 hours prior to departure.

Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Of course.
You can check if they're even available now by searching for buying the same flight on continental.com and clicking on "view seats" on the flight choices page.

i must be missing something...

I just booked a flight & my travel agent said exit seats are given out at the airport.

1)is this true?
2)if they're gone now from the website, does that meani have no shot?
i wish i knew what i was doing...

1. No, they're given to Golds/Plats and their companions at time of booking.
2. If you're looking at the seat map as it appears on the flight search page and they're gone, then they're gone.
Note that some seats, like some bulkheads are indeed held at the airport for families or handicapped people.
