Lets say you have 5 smart phones on a contract, for this plan it will be $300 for 10GB. If you have currently 4GB for $30/phone for data your total cost is $99 + ($10 *3)+ ($30 * 5) = $260 for double the data but only 2000 minutes plus friends and family vs. unlimited minutes
+ $30 for messaging=$290.+ the ability to have up to 10 phones.
+ $30 for messaging=$290 on the old plan vs. $300 for the new plan with unlimited minutes.+ the ability to have up to 10 phones on the new plan instead of just 5.
I guess if you need unlimited minutes this would make sense, but I can't see how you would with 2000 minutes plus friends and family
If you have 10 lines you can definitely use unlimited minutes. Also not everyone on a 10 line plan may need a smartphone, which will drop the cost and reduce the data usage.Shame there aren't options over 10GB though.
So are they going to make 4GB accounts switch to this to get phone upgrades or just unlimited accounts?
True with 10 phones the price is gonna be decent per phone, but then you only get 1GB per line...
Only if everyone needs data.
The options go up to $200 for 30GB shared data (plus $40 per smartphone/ $30 per feature phone). I did find it interesting that all the news sites I saw mentioned a max of 10GB.
Good to know!Link?
