Can one add a laptop as an additional device? This way one won’t need to purchase internet in the "country" (for all the NYC guys) and just add the bungalow laptop to the plan for $20? Will that work?
You do realize you're in a thread about the new plans and you asked a question about new plan pricing, right?

Yes, it was originally a hypothetical question, then I realized that it does not make sense. Sorry – carry on  ;D

Has anyone switched yet? Did all discounts carry over?

We were told that the discounts will only be applied to the "price plan" (as opposed to the fees per phone/mifi/tablet, etc)

Is there any truth that Verizon will not offer the iPhone 5 at a discounted plan unless you switch to their new tiered data plan?

That's unfortunately true if you want subsidized pricing.

And how much do the unlocked iphones cost?
~$649+tax

It seems I'll make more by flipping mine from Sprint in the US than selling an unlocked version.
Definitely. And especially if u wait a couple of weeks until the carrier allows for unlock and then u can sell it unlocked.

Seriously?! That's a little crazy... I'm switching to sprint next Friday. Nothing beats unlimited 4G data.
Part of the vast right wing conspiracy.

They make the tiered plans complicated to milk money out of people. Is it any different on AT&T?

Yup, I very well may be back at Sprint in a year from now :P

What are other VZW iPhone folk doing? Posy up the extra $450 to keep unlimited, switch to the new plans, or switch to Sprint?

Is this for upgrading or just with a new data plan? Would it apply to upgrading to any phone?
