$100 Airline Fee Credit:
You must select an airline before you make the charge, which can be a combination of a few charges, but they all have to be from the same airline.

I get my airline credit by buying mileage flights on Southwest with companion pass. That's $5.60*2 for each flight so takes 9 flights per year to get the full $100 credit. I guess Platinum would be double that
Too much work

I think everyone got it from amex, to be honest. It showed up on a couple of forums around the same time. DDF likely was the first, though.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

I have 2 offers for PRG:
1 - 40k/2k spend now + 25k/2k spend next year
2 - 50k/2k spend now
Which one is more worthwhile? I don't mind waiting a year for the extra points, but the question is whether I'd need to pay the AF next year (this year is waived), or could I cancel/downgrade right after the 25k posts, and have the AF credited or prorated?
What do you think? Thanks.

yes if you don't mind waiting you can spend the 2k right away and cancel within 30 days of them billing the annual fee

Got it. But do you agree with this?

Also, I just realized that $100 of the $195 AF is basically irrelevant, due to the airline credit that I would have in Jan. 2018. Am I missing something?

For some reason, every time I click on the 65k PRG offer, I get an error:

Bad Request

I've spent a long time on the phone with Amex, and they haven't been able to help me, although I gave them the offer code. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

is the prg downgradeable in the first year if it has af waived? anyone with success?

I tried downgrading now since the AF will be posted by end of month, the said there's no way to downgrade since PRG is a charge card which they don't have a no-fee alternative. The only thing that can be done is closing the PRG & opening a Credit Card.

Any one has experience with this?
