My point was that I thought it had been put through in USD and I still got charged Forex, now I'm not sure I'll have to check Paypal when I'm near a PC.

There are banks which will charge you an international fee regardless of currency.

The CC , it depends if they charge for exchange or out of country the latter does not make a difference what currency it is.

Which is precisely my question: the travel agency is based out of israel, but i'm pretty sure he charges in USD...

Hey my amex premier gold first year is coming up and I have 40k points on it. What should I do? Can I open a spg card and transfer the credit line and points? what do you guys think the best option is? I also have the chase freedom and united cards

there is something called RETENTION!
look at the thread, read the experiences,call them up,make your calculations [whether points,credit,or none,] and then post

Why not open an Amex Plat(MB) and spend $1,000 and get 50,000 MR as well to add on top of that. I would not transfer to SPG as the ratio would not be worth it if you ask me.

I understand what retention is. What i'm saying is that even if they offer me 100 dollar credit or points I dont think its worth the then 75 dollar fee on top of that (its 175/yr) so i'm asking what is the best option for me to do with these points and if I can move the credit line to a different amex card as well as the points

I just got my Amex Gold and there is no credit limit on my card. Why not do as suggested and sign up for the Amex Plat and have the points combined there?

Iv'e had the gold for 3 years and have not paid a annual fee yet. The first is free, the 2nd I asked them via SM to waive the fee and the 3rd after SM they gave me $100 and then I asked again if they can give the full amount and they gave me the full amount.

yeh my mistake its a charge card not a cc. I was really just trying to say how I didnt want another pull on my credit

How much do you spend annually roughly. I made the spend got the points and put it away so maybe
They won't offer me anything. if so best to cancel ?
