I just tried my luck and asked for it, and said that that's what I signed up for. I was very courteous with her as well. $5k

I spoke to 2 reps and neither one let me continue my first year without paying the annual fee (whether I downgraded to green or gold). I ended up downgrading to green hoping that I'll be able to get 5k MR after one purchase and then close the account.

Anyone know what the deadline for closing the green card will be to avoid paying the (prorated) $95 AF. I hope that the points post before that deadline.

Update: The first statement since downgrading to Green posted on 2/4. The AF for the Plat was refunded, but no sign of the AF for the Green

I believe it is the same as the mailers banks send out. Nothing to get excited about. Sorry.

Hi, need advice here. I opened for my wife a PRC a year ago and accumulated over 50k points now its up for renewal and I don't want to pay the AF so I called and asked them to transfer it to my MR account but they don't want to do that. So what options do I have? What should I do with the MR points?
