For some reason I always knew that between family members you can transfer MR no problem. Was this ever the case? Should I call a few times until someone does it?

From Dan's article "Credit cards for dummies".

Note that AMEX always reports every card you open as being opened in the year that you first got an AMEX card.  So if an AMEX was your first card then don’t sweat it as you can always get that date again by just opening a new card.

So both my Amex Gold premier charge card and Amex gold business charge card are posting the AF this month or so so I have to close  or take some other action to avoid AF.  What is the best course of action at this point:

moving my MR points to airlines and close both cards

keeping my MR points somehow? and close both cards

any other ideas, options?

Or get a blue from american express before you cancel.  If you have another credit card (not charge) you can convert it. That doesn't allow airline transfers but it keeps your MR's until you get another card.

when you say "convert" you mean transfer MR to my newly opened blue credit card?

If you get another MR earning card, it will keep your points intact if you close the PRG. The blue doesn't transfer to airlines, but can be used as a place holder like the Freedom card.

I posted this elsewhere. I guess it belongs here:
Not sure if this is the best place to post this. There was a 50k offer for amex gold rewards in Nov. When I clicked on link, I got message that I was ineligible for that bonus since I already was an amex cardholder but I could get the then current offer of 25k. I never got the bonus I called and was told there was no record of such a bonus offer. When I complained they said I could write corporate. Well I just got the same response from them. Does anyone have a screenshot of a 25k offer from Nov. or have any advice what I should do?
