Time to do some legwork mon frere. It's possible, even likely, that those the hotels and dates that were successful for people a few days ago are no longer working.

I already got approved for the brg free night, but now something came up and I'm not available that day. Do you think I can get away with changing the date and still keep my free night?

So my saga continues....

1) Submitted shortly after deadline - thought I wasn't going to get anywhere

2) Response came that difference was less than one percent so I wasn't eligible - the problem is that there math was just plain wrong

3) I responded pointing out the mistake

4) They responded that I was approved for the free night and should book within 24 hours - The problem is that they sent me the email on Friday afternoon! - So I didn't check email until late Motzei Shabbos.

5) I booked the room and sent in code on Sunday morning

6) They responded that I am too late....

7) I sent in an email explaining that for religious reasons I don't work from Fri afternoon until Sunday morning...

...Anyone wanna predict what's coming next?

I can't imagine that they'd let you changeit,
But you could try to sell it

So I was informed that "The W Hoboken has agreed to honor the free night."

...and now after all that fighting I am considering selling or bartering my room (possibly for a diff. spg free room).

It's the same night as the big DD convention (this monday night).

Will consider all legitimate offers.

Too bad indeed. Bartering with you would have been fun!

BTW I don't even know the details on how I would sell this? Can I just call and change the name on the reservation? Is it that simple?

you can always add a name to the reservation with you. Then that person can check in.

From what I understand you can always negotiate with them. Ive never seen anyone offended by a sleepys joke- apologies.
