Free 1 Year of Shoprunner from AMEX -- Targeted?

I got an email from Amex offering a free year of Shoprunner.  There's a pin code so I assume its targeted.

I currently have Shoprunner for a year for which I paid $1.  Anyone know if I can start it running again with this code?  If not I'd be happy to share it.  FCFS.

Read about this on another forum and the conclusions seemed to be that
a) it is a targeted offer
b) this can't be added on to your current free year of shoprunner (if you already have it) to extend your free ride

Got it aswell. It does say its targetted and non transferable. And also does say, not valid for existing shoprunner members.

I've got it and haven't gotten much use out of it, but I guess it could work for some.

Came in handy for me once, in conjunction with the amex twitter lord and Taylor deals and returns. Other than that I haven't used it at all. For toys r us all the small items are not eligible (unlike Amazon where you get free shopping on a 2 dollar item)

i think it works with american eagle which is where i used it

I've used it only 3-4 times on Newegg. The search via shoprunner itself isn't very good and not all items on newegg will qualify... a good idea to counter Amazon Prime but I wish they would somehow offer it on more sites....
