You quoted me too soon- I was actually referring to the case that I forgot to put the link in the post- now corrected.

Got the phone end of last week

Well if you had the case I am going to assume you had the phone as well , correct? :)

So my questions still stands.

I'm eligible for an upgrade and can get the s3 or I can get a free s2 without using my upgrade. So I was wondering how big the differences were to you and what you thought.

I know the S3 is newer and has some nice features but it would be nice to save the upgrade for the future. Thoughts?

How much of an upgrade do you feel it is from the s2 to s3?
Hard to say "how much" yet, but so far I am impressed.

I loved the S2 and I feel the took a great phone and made it even better.
The popup video player that allows "PIP" is pretty cool and very usefull. Camera app is even better.
Speed is incredible....

I know some people are trying to make it illegal.  Can someone who OWNS the S3 tell me if its an option? Thanks

Got my S3 with Verizon last week.

I do not see a native option to silence the shutter -- but when the phone is in silent mode (Mute), or "Vibrate" mode, there is no shutter sound on the camera.

Not a “roaming” issue, but I did have an issue where if I have WIFI on then text messages were not always going through on the first try. If I turn off the wifi they go through immediately.

Is the issue fixed? I have my wifi on all day.

My wife has the S3, I have the Nexus. One thing I can tell you is, the S3 battery is 10x better than the Nexus. She uses her phone very heavily and still has battery when the day ends. I barely use my phone and its dying by 8PM every day.

She is experiencing one issue. When connected to our home wifi network, every couple minutes a notification flashes across the bottom of the screen saying "Connected: Home Wifi Network". Anyone know how to turn this off?

If the text doesnt go through - you will know it. If you don't then I guess you dont have this issue.
The issue still persists.

Yes, I'm with Sprint in the midwest.
Do you have Wimax 4G in your area?
If yes I would go for the S2 since we dont know how long until the LTE is fully rolled out.

I live and work in areas where there is no Wimax so I figure I may as well get the S3 with LTE since I will definitely have no use for the Wimax but hopefully the LTE will roll out sooner than later.

Anyone know if there's a way to get the browser to automatically resize a page? On my thunderbolt if I was reading an article and zoomed in it would always chop the page to fit my screen, so I wouldn't have to scroll Thru the sentence.can't seem to get my s3 to do that

I noticed that too. Pretty annoying when you're used to it. You might have to download a different browser. Not sure there's a way to change it.

Very lengthy detailed review of the S3;

FYI it's a review of the European,quad-core version. Keep that in mind when reading about the processor

I just got offered $130 retention from sprint. Now where is the best place to buy the S3?
Also do 3rd party cell phone retailers like amazon and letstalk.com qualify for the 5PPD IB?
