Click the link and read the article. I have absolutely no problem with someone who actually researches the topic and comes out that it's muttar (assuming they can show what they're relying on). But to just brush it off and say, oh it's the CRC who cares, is weak sauce.

FWIW, Star-K says basically the same thing without stating that it's assur outright:

Would you care to explain more about starbucks please ? I never knew it's not a problem...

There should be a thread on it here. I'd need to look back at what they said to remember why its wrong.

FWIW, Star-K says basically the same thing without stating that it's assur outright:

Its been muttar forever. If you want to say its assur, you need to come with a ch'shash.

And yes, the CRC has no credibility in saying things need a hechsher.

paging Henche, as I've never done Castle Island.
But the Freedom Trail is fun, especially with a walk through North End.
Any chance you could make it to the USS Constitution? Personal preference, but that's probably my favorite thing to do.

Assuming castle island is one of the harbor islands?

My take would be that freedom trail stuff is things you can only see in boston. The harbor islands are lovely, and are a national park for a reason, but I've seen much awesome nature in other places.
