it's awesome. A little choppy going through the locks and in the harbor. Alternatively, you can just kayak the river. I did 8 mi each way recently with my 10 yr old daughter.

depending where you need/ want to be....
Interns of space and proximity to food and shuls, Residence Inn Watertown. Ask for an upgrade to a two bedroom suite.
AC Cleveland Circle is walking distance to shuls . You can try and get an upgrade to a suite.
Downtown, there's a couple 35k options but rooms tend to be significantly smaller. Element, Courtyard, Moxy, AC further from shuls and food.

+1 we just had a very good stay here.

Not sure exactly where you want to be but the Fairfield suites in Cambridge also looked very nice.

There is mincha at the Isreal book shop at 2pm
There is mincha/maariv at the rebbes on Beacon st 10 min before shkiah or chia adom 15 min before shkia
