I never knew you can do this but saw it on another blog, not sure if it was posted ever on DDF.

Yo Can Transfer BA Miles To Iberia To Lower Fuel Charges

For example the total cost for a one-way award in business class from Madrid to Chicago is 40,000 Avios points plus $75.62 in taxes.
 
The same exact award booked through British Airways would cost you 40,000 Avios points plus $262.84.

How to do it: Go to www.britishairways.com , go to My Account, Click on Combine my Avios, and follow the instructions.

Only thing is in order to Combine both your accounts must be open for at least 90 days.

IB chart is overall much worst than BA, plus they don't have a US call center/# you have to call spain IIRC,

Is it lie-flat?

Coach (Blue) is 65K+$215 for the record and economy with better availability is 97.5K +$215.

cant figure out why i dont have option in my account to Combine My Avios,.... >:(   any ideas?


EDIT, Figured it out. I had to update my DOB (you can only do it if you put in your passport #) without  dob by default your a minor.

Slight repost from another thread, but I checked TLV to Madrid and it's 12.5k + $25 which is a pretty good deal. Problem is, when I checked this on BA, it only gave me around 1 flight per week. Any ideas why, and if I transferred to Iberia, if it would open up more availability?

I believe they have regular biz 3 times a week. I think damaxer once posted the schedule. IIRC what it breaks down to is the 319s have roped. And the other plane (don't remember if its a 340, or a boeing) have lie flat
