Update: 6/16/15:
So I smed chase again and got the same response, denying to match to 140k. I then called Chase and got a very nice rep who tried to match it for me but was unsuccessful. It said in her system that they were only matching to 140k credit cards that were applied before April 30th. I applied May 14th. She then gave me 5k Ritz points as a courtesy and told me to try to call Ritz Rewards and ask them to replace my 2 free nights with the equivalent amount of points (probably not 140k). I did just that and the Ritz rep said she cannot do that. Blah blah.....
This really sucks <img src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/tapatalk-emoji/emoji35.png" />

Update: 3/23/15: Many recent reports of successful match to 140k offer via SM
Updated link: https://creditcards.chase.com/credit-cards/ritz-carlton-card.aspx
Standard offer is for 2 free nights at Ritz Cat 1-4 which is not too bad either.

Update 2/9/15: DEAD
current offer  140k bonus points +$300 airline credit annual fee 395 not waived
link https://www.theritzcarltonrewardscard.com/offer140k

To get $300 airline credit call 1-855-896-2222
don't buy gift cards from Chase affiliated airlines (United, SW..)
As Chase may be able to see what you purchased

JetBlue seat upgrades and delta seat upgrades worked for me.
Airline GC are very YMMV as there are reports of chase asking for receipts.
(Seat upgrades are officially covered in the T & C.)

This continued discussion is not healthy - neither for the trick being discussed, nor for our reputation as a People. I strongly suggest we let this conversation die out ASAP.
Yep, I agree I'm out.

I saw ppl saying you can't do delta PGGMs because the charges won't post.
NOT TRUE
You can do them but Jetblue is way easier.
For delta wait 24 hours and then cancel but make sure to cancel before the Following midnight I.e. If you book at 3pm Sunday cancel before 11:59 pm Monday.

Is there a special number for recon or just call the regular chase recon number?

There are ways around the revenue bookings only rule for this if you think put of the box a little.

I'll be honest - all the discussion of PGGM is a bit unclear to me.
can we put it on the wiki? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Book a refundable JetBlue flight (can it be for 4 months from now or are there any rules on this)
Then buy extra legroom (I assume when the flight is canceled this gets refunded as well). I assume this adds up to $300 somehow. Do we buy extra legroom when we first book the flight or do we book the flight and then later add legroom?
Call up Ritz - 1-855-896-2222 to ask for a refund.
Then cancel the refundable flight.

someone mentioned theres a specific time limit on this... is that correct or no? did I leave anything else out.

One leg won't add up to $300, but 3 or 4 legs will add up to $300

What's so confusing - book a jet blue refundable, upgrade the seat, call Chase to credit, cancel the ticket, done?
