I just got a Priority Pass membership in the mail and it says my Lounge Club membership (which I got from the Ritz card) has been upgraded to Priority Pass. Anyone else get that?

Haven't received it yet, but was told it's in the mail.

I got that too. The $100 discount is interesting especially since the new Sapphire Reserve will NOT have this benefit.
I wonder if this means they'll be converting existing card members to a Visa Infinite.

Wonder too, in which case i should apply for the new version before the old one is converted and i become ineligible for 2 years. (Or will it not have an effect on receiving the bonus on the new card?)

No effect. You're not getting a bonus; it's a PC.

You think Chase adding benefits and converting the old Ritz card to the new one (if thats in fact whats being done) is a PC?
Can you still apply for the old one (not that I see any reason to) or are the benefit changes just added benefits for new cardholders, similar to the way they sometimes take away benefits like they did with the Freedom Exclusives only for new applications (before they kill it for everyone)?

Not that I expect to ever use it, but is it safe to assume that this benefit is available immediately, like the ones listed in the email, despite not actually being mentioned specifically in the email?

If the tickets are more than a few hundred dollars, wouldnt it make sense to use Sapphire to get double UR points, which is worth 4 times the amount of Marriott/Ritz?!?

Even if he has extremely expensive domestic tickets at $500 each roundtrip, that's $1000. $100 off is 10% off. The CSP doesn't come close to that.
