Update: 6/16/15:
So I smed chase again and got the same response, denying to match to 140k. I then called Chase and got a very nice rep who tried to match it for me but was unsuccessful. It said in her system that they were only matching to 140k credit cards that were applied before April 30th. I applied May 14th. She then gave me 5k Ritz points as a courtesy and told me to try to call Ritz Rewards and ask them to replace my 2 free nights with the equivalent amount of points (probably not 140k). I did just that and the Ritz rep said she cannot do that. Blah blah.....
This really sucks <img src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/tapatalk-emoji/emoji35.png" />

Update: 3/23/15: Many recent reports of successful match to 140k offer via SM
Updated link: https://creditcards.chase.com/credit-cards/ritz-carlton-card.aspx
Standard offer is for 2 free nights at Ritz Cat 1-4 which is not too bad either.

Update 2/9/15: DEAD
current offer  140k bonus points +$300 airline credit annual fee 395 not waived
link https://www.theritzcarltonrewardscard.com/offer140k

To get $300 airline credit call 1-855-896-2222
don't buy gift cards from Chase affiliated airlines (United, SW..)
As Chase may be able to see what you purchased

JetBlue seat upgrades and delta seat upgrades worked for me.
Airline GC are very YMMV as there are reports of chase asking for receipts.
(Seat upgrades are officially covered in the T & C.)

The regular marriot will get you two plus a free night certificate. Not worth the extra 200 IMO

That's why I said 2 nights AND a free night certificate and not 3 nights.
Also what the heck is TTEOMK?

1) their gold status=crap
2) it is  $200 reimbursement not $300
3)its $400 a year not waived

There are plenty of hotel cards that are waay better.

1)It IS $300 NOT $200
2) don't pay the AF like any other card
3)Name me 2 hotel cards that are waaaay better???!!!!

So here is the question, is it worth it to apply for the regular ( 1 free night+ $300 travel credit+ $100 hotel credit) and then SM for the 140k or the opposite.

It's not automatic, I know, you need to call after the charge posts to get credited..
I'm just wandering if they would know if it's a gc charge.
