Did anyone recently try southwest upgrade and cancellation for flight credit.

so to reiterate, you got a boundless and had it for a year+ and right after they charged you the AF for the boundless you product changed to the ritz card (I’m assuming you got the 35k fnc from the boundless)and then they charged you 6 months later ect….?

If PC’ing from boundless, does it make sense to do it right at year 1 anniversary when eligible? I think those would result in loss of the boundless FNC for that year. Or wait until boundless FNC posts and then PC? Is it just a question of starting the clock on the superior Ritz card anniversary FNC faster (and less risk of chase possibly stopping this type of PC) vs. having that additional boundless FNC? Thanks

I did my pc right after fnc posted. My Ritz fnc posted a year after my boundless fnc. My Ritz af only kicked in a couple of months after my pc.

I'm thinking about getting the card in a few months. If you're an airline elite, then you likely have most or all incidentals for free. But has anyone tried this - you purchase the ticket using your main travel card, and then during the check-in, you pay for checked bags using the Ritz card. I can have 3 free bags, but I can select 4-6 bags, so I'd need to pay for 1-3 bags. And then you cancel the flight for a travel credit. Would the payment for the checked bags be reimbursed to the Ritz card, or would be included in the travel credit?
